What
Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” which comes from 2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The goal of the Awana program is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Why
“Awana provides weekly programs and special events that introduce children to Jesus Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith. A national survey found long-term Awana participation to be as important as all other church activities combined. Nearly 93 percent of our alumni who took part in Awana for six or more years still attend church as adults.”
