Doctrinal Statement
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, 66 books in all, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who created all things.
(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 1:1-3)
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary.
We believe when Adam sinned, the human race fell in him. Man without Christ is dead in trespasses and sin, lost and under the wrath of God.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.
We believe that the only way to be saved from the penalty of sin, which is eternal condemnation, is by faith in this blood sacrifice, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that of those who thus become His sheep He says, “I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
We believe that the death of Jesus Christ was ordained of God (Acts 2:23) and that it fulfilled and met every demand of the righteousness, justice and holiness of God and His law.
We believe, though Himself sinless, He bore the sin of the world on Himself and received the wrath of God in our stead.
Acts 2, Romans 8, I Peter 2:24, II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 1:17
We believe in the physical bodily resurrection of Jesus (Luke 24) and that He ascended into heaven in the same body, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for all that come to God by Him.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. He is the author of Scripture, our teacher, comforter and He that seals the believer with Himself.
We believe that the Church which is the Body of Christ is composed of those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and have been sealed and indwelt by the Holy Ghost.
We believe that the Gospel Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 is for the Church today.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, the personal premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-16, Titus 2:11-14)
We believe that Satan is a person, the author of the fall and that he shall be eternally punished.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust and in the eternal conscious punishment of the lost and the eternal joy of the saved.
We believe that God created humanity male and female, equal in dignity yet different in function; exclusively set apart marriage as a covenant between one male and one female for companionship, sexual intimacy, procreation, and reflection of Christ’s love for the Church; and any deviation from the Creator’s commands is sinful, including but not limited to adultery, homosexuality, and
transgenderism. (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 2:1-2:25; Matthew 5:27-30; Romans 1:16-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11;
Ephesians 5:22-33)
